I have always wanted to make a Port wine that would be a clear expression of the Noval style, easily accessible as a wine that could be poured by the glass, no ageing or decanting nescessary. No complications just a great glass of Port, Christian Seely MD of Quinta do Noval. Christian has succeeded very well with this powerfully rich example that has the depth of fine Port but with the vigour of youth. This is made by using fruit from their best vineyards and maturing it for two years in cask. A genuinely good variation on a traditional theme.
